What information we collect

When you send an enquiry, book a visit or use our services, we may collect your name, address, email address, phone number, details of the work you need, photos you send us, and payment and invoicing details. When you visit this website, our website provider (Wix) collects technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, using cookies and similar technologies.

How we use your information

We use your information to respond to enquiries and give quotes (to take steps at your request before entering a contract); to arrange and carry out work, issue certificates and invoices, and provide after-care (to perform our contract with you); to meet our legal obligations, such as gas safety, building regulations notifications and tax records; and to run and improve our website and business (our legitimate interests). We do not sell your information, and we only send marketing if you have agreed to it.

Who we share it with

We share information only where needed: with our website, booking and email providers; with registration and notification bodies where the law requires it, for example Gas Safe Register when we notify a boiler installation; with manufacturers when we register a warranty for you; and with our accountants, insurers and professional advisers. Some of our providers may store data outside the UK, in which case appropriate safeguards are in place.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. We keep job, certificate and invoice records for up to six years after the work is completed, so we can meet our tax and legal obligations and deal with any warranty questions.

Cookies

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your personal information, and to ask us to correct, delete or restrict it, to object to how we use it, or to receive it in a portable format. To make a request, contact us using the details above. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
